Canopy Garage Door

Canopy up and over garage doors open with the help of a torsion spring mechanism at the top of the door.

The spring lifts the door via "Cones & Cables" at each side at the top and the doors protrude one third when they are open - like a "Canopy".

To automate this type of door you need a canopy (bow-arm) converter complete with an electronic garage door opener.

Retractable up and over garage doors open with the help of springs at each side at the bottom.

The door rolls back on tracks and closes into the garage almost all of the way - protruding about 20mm only.

This type of garage door is the simplest to automate with an electronic garage door opener.
